KeriMedical is proud to announce that the TOUCH® CMC 1 Prosthesis has been granted a listing on Australia’s Prescribed List, effective July 1, 2026.

This significant milestone marks a new step forward in KeriMedical’s international expansion and will enable Australian patients suffering from rhizarthrosis to access an innovative solution that has been successfully used across Europe for more than a decade.

Rhizarthrosis, or osteoarthritis of the thumb base joint, is a common condition that can cause significant pain and loss of hand function, greatly impacting daily activities and quality of life.

The inclusion of the TOUCH® CMC 1 Prosthesis on Australia’s Prescribed List represents an important recognition of the clinical value of the technology and paves the way for broader adoption across the Australian market.

“This listing is excellent news for Australian patients affected by rhizarthrosis. It will provide access to a proven technology that has already helped thousands of patients regain comfort and mobility in their everyday lives,” said Kathryn Constance, Regional Director APAC and General Manager Australia at Medartis.

TOUCH® is a dual-mobility trapeziometacarpal prosthesis designed to treat degenerative thumb osteoarthritis while preserving the trapezium bone. By restoring thumb function and relieving pain, it helps patients return to everyday activities with greater comfort and confidence.

Present in numerous countries worldwide, KeriMedical continues its mission to develop innovative solutions for hand and wrist surgery in close collaboration with the international surgical community.

This new milestone reflects KeriMedical’s ongoing commitment to improving patients’ quality of life around the world through advanced technologies dedicated to preserving and restoring joint function.
